“I thought I knew how to communicate and to make a connection with people, but the CTI® Coach Training program really taught me how to do that in a more genuine way without fear of rejection.”

Nick Kettles, a freelance journalist of 15 years experience, took the Coach Training program at CTI as part of his continuing professional development.

While having written frequently for national newspapers and magazines, Nick realized to take the next step in his career he needed to form stronger relationships with editors and publishers. “I interview people across a broad spectrum of demographic backgrounds, from senior politicians through to people in everyday life, and so I thought I knew how to communicate and how to make a connection with people. But CTI's Coach Training program really taught me how to do that in a more genuine way without the fear of rejection.” He says.

Nick adds: “CTI's Coach Training program has had an amazing impact on my career. I'm not afraid of going for the bigger goals now, because I'm not afraid of asking for the opportunities that I need in order to achieve those goals. There's a clear emphasis not just on creating new results, but who you are going to be when you arrive at that goal. This means you can move forward with integrity, without a fear your success will be at someone else's expense.”

“I'm more confident now and it's not just because I have some important new skills, but that I've benefitted from the safe space the Co-Active® model provides to be 100% yourself, without apology. Now I'm successfully making the leap from journalism to having my books published.”
